I have loved contributing to the tenth edition of the Tangible and Embodied Interaction conference in 2016 (TEI16) as graphic design chair.
Conference badge
The main challenge was the design of the conference badge for all attendees. A central element in the design of the TEI16 logo is a horizontal line through the characters.
I wanted to design a unique badge that stands out from the regular flat and plain conference badges, and that features the horizontal line of the logo.
I was really happy with the result. Unfortunately I underestimated the manual labour needed for the folder of more than 300 badges. But after a pizza party with all student volunteers this was done in one night.
Other elements
Other graphic elements were part of it as well, including the conference proceedings, goody bags, t-shirts, posters, note-blocks and even cakes!

But the best thing about helping with the organisation of a conference is the huge amount of immediate feedback during the event itself, both face-to-face and online!
