CM.com’s platform has a professional and minimal look all the way through. Most of the front-end was build solely by engineers with the best intentions, resulting very factional and soul-less situations that can benefit from a touch of human-ness.
Result
I created 2 illustrations that can are used for specific situations.
1. Celebrate success
CM’s system almost always brushed over completion of a long a difficult process (for example, uploading and importing profiles into a database). These moments should be celebrated to emphasise that the task was completed successfully and boost the user’s confidence. A fun illustration really helps.
2. Decrease frustration
Who doesn’t like a good old Something went wrong.. I know I do. It always cracks me up when a system gives me the ambiguous catch all phrase to indicate… something… Most of the time I loose a lot of precious work and my smile is gone immediately. The illustration is meant to bring a little smile to the user when things are tough.
