Protected: Increasing efficiency for legacy application

Background

Enterprise software presents a unique challenge: users often become experts despite the experience, not because of it. At ASML, thousands of employees depend on myChange to execute critical change management activities. Over years of process evolution, the platform had grown increasingly complex. Users frequently relied on process knowledge and experience to navigate workflows, while newer users faced a steep learning curve.

As part of the Fit For Purpose project, the organization set out to simplify the underlying process and modernize the experience supporting it. The challenge was not a lack of ideas. Multiple concepts existed for improving navigation, information hierarchy, workflow visualization, and overall usability. The challenge was determining which direction would create the most value for users and the business. Rather than relying on assumptions or stakeholder preferences, I introduced an evidence-based approach to guide decision-making.
